How to Motivate Your Friend to Work Out – 19, 20 and 21 Days of Losing Weight

Your own example work most effective on people! My friend stopped to do workouts for last two years. Before he used to go to the gym, jogging, play basketball – and had a perfect athletic shape. But our quiet life together relaxed us both. Like me, he wanted to go back to workout, but something always interfered.

I have only recently found the strength to change this situation: during the last three weeks I am running. Meanwhile, I did not press my friend that he has to return to do workouts – I think it would only discourage the wish to do it. But he notice what energy I have got from my exercises and seeing first results, my friend decided to get back in shape. Today, when he come back from work, I went to run and what a pleasant surprise it was when he joined my jogging a little later too, starting with a brisk walk. After a workout he said: “ I have already almost forgot how cool the body feels after jogging. Tomorrow morning, before work, I will go for a jog.” How many times I have noticed that if you want to change something in the person next to you – first start to change from yourself!

As for the previous two days: this weekend I just relaxed and did not even watched what I ate.

Results for today:

Food:

  • Oatmeal
  • Salad (tomato, sweet peppers, lettuce, spices), fried egg, vitamin.
  • Sandwich (bread, ham, lettuce, tomato), pasta with mayonnaise.
  • Stuffed tomato (avocado, garlic clove, pepper, salt, canned fish, lime juice)
  • 7 glasses of juice from wild cherry (throughout the day).

Aerobic exercise:

  • 30 minutes of running and 10 minutes of walking.
