How Much Exercise Should I Do to Lose Weight or the Eighteenth Day of Losing Weight
Increase of exercising should not take a place when your mind whispers: “If I was a good girl I would now continue and increase the burden”, but at the moment when the body gives you the signal that it is ready for additional workout. For me it is shown in sensation of boring from doing the same. Body feels the internal hidden powers and is asking to move to a new stage.
For example, at the first week I honestly told myself that I can start training with only a quick walk: the running at that point seemed very difficult and complicated task which I can not handle – three days and I will drop everything. But with the walking it was very easy to start.
By the end of the week I found out that I’m tired of just walking like mad – and I tried to run for five minutes. My body liked it, then I decided to increase slowly the time of runs till time I completely switched to this type of training. By the end of the second week – I did it.
The next step was to secure the running. But my mind wanted to go ahead further and I have started to practice yoga as additional workout for myself. As a result, there was a desire to quit. Once I stopped yoga – my good mood returned and the feeling that I’m working on the wear is gone.
Yesterday evening at the work out I felt again the call of the body and the last segment of distance ran at the top speed, which I could develop (of course, I did not stop dramatically after that). In general at this point I felt that I am actually hiding inside of me a huge amount of energy! I am just afraid that I will get tired, but really I want to just take off laziness, cross that border, freeing my power and give myself to enjoy the run. After realizing this I threw laziness away and let myself to feel the power of legs, running rhythm… Reveling the movement, I even have got shivering of joy on my back, the feeling of happiness spread through the body. I think it is because of this feeling and the fact that with each workout you receive the power – people love to run. As a result, running the usual distance, I was surprised to find that today I made it in three minutes faster!
I didn’t force myself to increase speed, my body just has called itself to do it. This is very important – listen to your feelings! By the way, to make journal where I honest to myself without self-flagellation or hidden excuses, trying to describe the successes – helps to understand such a simple, seemingly things.
Results for today:
Food:
- Yogurt
- Eggs with vegetables, salad (cabbage and carrots), 3 slices of bread, coffee, vitamin.
- Chicken soup, natural juice from wild cherry.
- Chicken soup, a bottle of beer.
Aerobic workout:
- 30 minutes of running and 10 minutes of walking.
